For those of you who have been installing custom ROM on your Android device using CWM Recovery, did you know that you can use ROM Manager to automate the process?
ROM Manager application allows you to easily install ROMs without rebooting into CWM Recovery manually and automates custom ROM installation process or even just zip files (such MODs).
The reason why I did not include it in my root tutorials is because sometimes the automated process may break and if you do not know how to manually install custom ROM, you may find yourself in a bad bootloop unceremoniously recover. But if you know how to manually install custom ROM using CWM Recovery, I highly recommend using the application ROM Manager to automate the process in the future
* Note - For TWRP Recovery, you can use TWRP Manager application on Play Store that works almost identical to the ROM Manager, but for TWRP Recovery. I should have another brief tutorial on this also later on the road.
Before you begin, you must have a rooted Android device. If you do not have a rooted Android device, see How to root Android page.
Step 1. Most of my roots tutorials install CWM Recovery default so you probably already have CWM Recovery installed if you have a rooted Android device.
Download and open the ROM Manager app from the Play Store.
Opinion under "Recovery Settings" I've installed CWM Recovery. If you have an older version of CWM Recovery, you can also update using ROM Manager.
If you do not have CWM Recovery installed, click "Recovery Setup" to install CWM Recovery for your first Android device.
Step 2. Next, we will install a new custom ROM. Obviously, you must have downloaded the ROM zip files already on your phone.
So press "Install ROM from SD Card".
