Although I was not planning to get a Galaxy Note edge because I felt like the board was screen not so serious, I ended up getting one during my visit to South Korea and really fall in love with the device. The Galaxy Note Edge is a slightly modified version of the Galaxy Note 4, which comes with an onboard screen that allows you to access your application shortcuts, set new / stock tickers, use it as rule recorder / voice and even a little more. If you set your hours of night, the Edge notes even act as a clock.
The first thing I notice when I UNBOXED Edge is that because your default applications are placed on the edge of screen you have more space to use your main screen for something else. While using the camera, the camera buttons are placed on the onboard screen, allowing you to clearly see through your camera to take pictures
Is it worth it? Is this a pretty useful feature that you will use every day?
You betcha it is. Once you begin using the Edge screen, you can not stop using it. I remember the first time to try the LG G3 and try the power button on the back of the unit. At first it was really awkward, but after a few days, it has become a feature I could not live without (hence G3 is one of my daily drivers and footnote 4). Similarly, the screen looks Edge addition of 4 minutes to a note but it really is another feature you can not live without.
When you receive SMS. notifications of applications such as Facebook, Twitter, Google+, and other social networking applications, you will see the message appear on the screen edge. It is really convenient because no matter what notifications you receive, you can see them and they do not interfere with what you do on the main screen
