It is always fun to do some 4K film footage with new smartphones and today I decided to do in Thailand since the scene is so different. What I realized by doing this video with the LG G5 is that there are wide-angle shots you can really get creative with.
As I was doing this video, I could instantly switch between ordinary camera and wide-angle instantly, which is a plus since you can get two angles of a sudden. Of course, I think Galaxy S7 and S7 board are a little better, but if you include the fact LG G5 wide angle, this may be the most fun to shoot with camera.
Now the most disappointing fact is LG withdrawn manual video mode on the G5 LG (where LG V10 has) and, unfortunately, you will be stuck using ND filters to get the right shutter speed you want. LG should really push the manual of the video mode as having the option would make it more impressive.
I do not use ND filters in the video (mostly because I forgot to pack them with me on my trip to Thailand) but the video came out decent, not bad at all. Now, if a company decides to Smartphone manual controls and integrated ND filters, this will be the ultimate smartphone videographer
