HTC One M9 has finally arrived! After a week late, my HTC One M9 (edition T-Mobile) has arrived. Each year, HTC has a kind of logistical problems, so I did never arrive on time.
I was hoping HTC have something new features and changes, especially the camera. . And boy, 20 megapixel back me excited all week waiting for my phone
The HTC One M9 is slightly shorter than the M8 last year, there are subtle design changes like putting the power button on the side, sharper edges and brightest metal back. But other than that, there's really no major changes to the design to the HTC One M9, it's basically the same phone last year with a similar design. However, this is not necessarily a bad thing, I always liked the design of the HTC One, and I would certainly not change much if I were HTC. It is always the camera that was tainted with HTC One or the software, not the design.
One of the major changes this year include gestures launch movement. Similar to OnePlus One, you can double-tap the screen to activate the screen and off. Now this is a bit wrong that you can not do it from the launcher home screen, not for applications like OnePlus One. I love new features like this and so I hope HTC fixes the problem with future software updates. There were also many other things you could use, some of them I had to try twice to actually make it work. I think HTC is definitely on the right track here as far as adding new software features, but it does not feel polished and refined. Again, this can be fixed with future software updates.
Judging by how late they delivered my HTC One M9 this year, I think HTC has certainly worked around the clock to get a version of stable software as they shipped. This is the latest HTC has never delivered my HTC One. In the original HTC One M7 two years ago, I remember HTC launched the month before Samsung phone. This year, they certainly lost this advantage and possibly many more customers than I received my Galaxy S6 and S6 edge a week before the M9
