The other day M14xr2 Twitter user asked, "hey can you use a macro lens on a Nexus 6?"
And I said "hell yeah, let me go ahead and try one out, will come back to you."
Well, I am one of those strap on macro objectives and boy, they are working not too badly out of the box. This particular version I'm on Amazon is called Pocket goal but it's actually a ton of generic on Amazon, I think they are all pretty much the same.
Nonetheless, these strap-on strap macro lenses on pretty well. If you use any type of cases they will actually fit just perfect and works for 99% of Android smartphones out there.
To use, simply attach and align on the lens so that it is aligned with your backup camera. So go ahead and point about 1 inch of everything you want to shoot macro, voila! If you use a case, the lenses will suit perfectly, I am using the Spigen hard case by the way, nice and easy task.
These give your phone about 10X macro, which means you'll be able to get those big DSLR-quality plans without a zoom lens. Many professional photographers are now using these to get good macro shots without wearing their equipment.
This is not to all, macro video is where it gets interesting, you can get an excellent super macro close-up vids as long as your subject is not moving too fast.
Where is it useful?
I will actually start using super-macro beautiful videos for my future videos as a new opinion smartphone where I can give you a close-up comparison between different screens and resolution. You can really make a difference with this macro lens between a 1080p and 1440p screen. For the same macro shot with a DSLR, you must spend a lot of money on a super-zoom lens. Hey, you do not need. It is amazing what can be done
