trouble installing a custom ROM Android 6.0 Marshmallow? Our failproof method TWRP worked flawlessly for many phones on Lollipop Marshmallow but you can still have FC (closing force) problems when installing a custom ROM.
Well, after spending nights and days trying to find a new failproof method, I think I finally found one that will install Android 6.0 custom ROM without FC every time!
The process involves basically do a factory reset "after" the installation of ROM and Gapps, setting all kinds of issues close force when installing a ROM Marshmallow.
* Note - This is ONLY for AOSP ROM, not for Samsung's TouchWiz ROM
Here are step by step instructions:
step 1. You obviously need your custom ROM zip file and the Gapps downloaded or copied to the storage of your phone. to Gapps, I highly recommend using the Gapps here on our website.
Reboot in the TWRP recovery and select "Wipe".
then select "Advanced wipe."
Select "system" only and brush to wipe.
Step 2. Go ahead and install your ROM using the "install" button menu.
Step 3. After installing ROM, also install Gapps.
Step 4. Then go ahead and select "Wipe".
Then, drag to make a factory reset.
There! For some reason, if you do not do factory reset after Gapps installation, it causes havoc on some Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
But if you do "after", initializes all well and your Gapps works as well. This will work on any Android smartphone or tablet
