I use a lot of microSD cards, mostly because I flash on my many custom ROM Android smartphones and I wanted to know what microSD card is the fastest in the world
For this shoot, I use three of the best Class 10 microSD cards Samsung, Sony and SanDisk, the rating of 0MB / s, Sony HighSpeed MicroSD estimated at 95MB / s 64GB Samsung PRO, and SanDisk Extreme PRO estimated at 95MB / s
First, I did a speed reading and writing test using a free software called Flash Check by a Russian developer.
After tests on all microSD cards, I found some interesting results.
For this particular test, I use my Kingston USB 3.0 microSD card reader.
SanDisk Extreme with the fastest reading speed of about 0MB / s and write speed of 54MB / s.
Samsung came in second with a read speed of 85MB / s and write speed of 45MB / s.
Sony came last with a read speed of 65MB / s and write speed of 30MB / s.
now, all these manufacturers claim their transfer cards to or faster than 0MB / s. Well, the reality tells you different results, which is why I did this test.
I also did the actual file transfer tests because I want to see real results for myself, not just rely on a speed test software.
I was able to write 2GB file a Sandisk Extreme Card PRO in just 27.76 seconds to 28.13 seconds in PRO Samsung, and Sony card in 38.61 seconds.
for playback, I copied a file 2GB microSD card in my computer, Sony actually came first in 20.86 seconds, SanDisk next in 22.80 seconds, followed by Samsung at 23.88 seconds.
now, for write speeds, my real life tests confirmed the Check Flash software while my reading speeds were slightly different
