2nd Place: S7 Bord Qualcomm 8:48 Minutes
3rd Place: Huawei Mate 8 = 6 hours 50 minutes
Edge S7 is officially the longest lasting smartphone in the world in the world. This test also demonstrates Samsung Exynos 880 processor is much faster than Snapdragon processor 820, probably due to the fact that the Exynos is an octa-core processor (which can go down to 4 cores for lower-process) versus quad- core Snapdragon 820.
And it is not surprising that even if Huawei Mate 8 a 4000 mAh battery, it comes nowhere near the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. This is mainly due to more efficient processors and screens on Samsung phones. AMOLED displays consume much less energy to produce the same amount of brightness with respect to a technology out there today LCD, equivalent to greater battery life.
This test proves the battery capacity is not everything and it is amazing that a phone with 1440p display and a smaller battery outlasts phone with 1080p display and much larger battery.
